The purpose of this study were to investigate the perception of adapted physical education (APE) teachers who are in charge of physical education in special school and to propose the basic sources for reorganization of curriculum through the diagnosis and analysis of curriculum of APE department and presentation of direction with literature review and in-depth interview with APE teachers. Eighty-two APE teachers in special school were randomly selected for this study. Thirty-six APE teachers who are teaching special physical education were also randomly selected for the in-depth interview. Questionnaire and interview questions used in this survey were directly prepared by researcher after seeking advice from APE professor and APE teachers. In the result of this study, survey on the actual condition on the APE teachers was presented. In addition, five universities' curriculum of APE department was analyzed and compared. The interview results with APE teachers was also presented. This study presented future direction for APE curriculum.
