This study investigated the comparison of exercise intensity during dancesports between non-obese and obese women. This investigation can be used to suggest the theoretical basis for effective prevention and administration of obesity with dancesports. Subjects were consisted of 20-aged female students(n=12), and were divided to obese(n=6) and normal weight group(n=6). Body weight, percentage of body fat, and BMI were measured for analysis of body composition, and blood lactate concentration and heart rate were measured for the analysis of metabolic response and exercise intensity duirng dancesports.Obese group showed significant higher values of body weight, %fat, and BMI as compared to non-obese group. Physical fitness of muscular strength in obese group showed a significant higher values than non-obese group. On the basis of blood lactate and heart rate, acute dancesports could be recommended the effective exercise program with optimal exercise intensity corresponding to 60% HRmax. As heart rate at 60 min of recovery phase after acute dancesports showed a significant different value than resting heart rate in both groups, acute dancesports could be arised to sufficient stimulus for the improvement of cardiopulmonary function.In these results, dancesports program could be suggested the effective exercise program for obesity treatment, but the additional detail analysis on the change of blood cytokines and metabolite was demanded for the development of obesity treatment method with dancesports.
