This study analysed kinematic variables about the cross step, the delivery and the release for male's javelin athletics recorded over 70m in the 2004 Busan International Athletics Competition. It was used the Kwon3D Motion Analysis Package Ver. 3.1 Program(Kwon, 2000) for analysing the kinematic variables, then we had the results as follows;1. It appeared that the performance time from the support leg landing of delivery to release phase shorted. The projection velocity of the javelin at the release moment showed small. And the COG at the release moment showed lower posture than the support leg landing of delivery. These a short time and lower COG showed not transmission a fully force in the javelin during the release phase.2. When the support leg landed, the knee angle was showed a big flexion angle(157.4±6.66°). This posture showed not use the flexible braking force at the support leg. Therefore, it appeared that the momentum come from the lower body at the release moment couldn't be delivered the upper body, the upper arm, and the javelin.3. The moment of release, the release angle was average 34.2±3.71°, and it showed the attack angle -1.15±3.60° that showed lower than the attitude angle 35.4±0.83°. Therefore, it appeared that the COG must be high as extending the body lean angle according to extending the knee angle fully the moment of release.
