The purpose of this study is to investigate the career identity of athlete Firstly, the difference of career identity of athlete by the socio-demographic characteristics, Secondly, the difference of career identity of athlete by sports event. The subjects of this study was selected by stratified cluster random sampling of involvement(male 426, female 124) in athlete. The survey questionnaires were used to collect the data. The questionnaire for the formalization factor of by career identity Jo(2001). The statistical methods such as reliability analysis, t-test analysis, one way-Anova, analysis of covariance, were used to analyze the collected data. From the analyses of the data, the study reached the following conclusions: First, career identity is partially difference of athlete by the socio-demographic characteristics Second, career identity is partially difference of athlete by sports event
