This research focuses on the development of teaching and learning strategies for multicultural music education employing four teaching and learning models. The four teaching and learning models suggested in this study are an interdisciplinary/integrated model, a contextual model, an inquiry model and an affective learning model. Combining these four models, this research developed the strategies to teach Chinese Korean music to Korean elementary students. Traditional play songs of Chinese Korean culture were included in the strategies. In addition, this study underlined to develop elementary school children's mind to respect and embrace the diversity in contemporary society. Diversity means to include the difference related to culture, strata, gender and social status. This research expects that the Korean elementary school children can realize the respect for other cultures and people who live together in the globalized world as well as the self-respect of themselves.
