This paper develops core methods for real time control of material flow considering the status of transportation systems simultaneously by using look ahead current and future information of systems in semiconductor and LCD production lines. In particular, a machine selection procedure which determines destination of a lot for the next operation in a real time when the lot processing is completed in a bay and a vehicle selection procedure which determines vehicle for transporting the lot to the destination most rapidly. In the procedure of destination determination, the availability of the vehicle, the transportation time from source and destination, and the transportation schedule of the vehicle are considered simultaneously for developing a multi-load vehicle transportation procedure. It is expected that the proposed procedures reduce the mean flow time of the lots and increase the efficiency of the vehicles.
