Municipal Solid Waste(MSWs) in Insular area was fundamental data to solve the waste problems in Insular area. Jeju Island is a representative Insular area where both city that considers waste occurrence characteristics and urban area , rural area, tourist area coexist. This will be established by researching and analyzes physico-chemical characteristics occurrence status of each region's specific character of Municipal Solid Waste(MSWs) monthly and annually. This study showed fundamental data to establish an efficient and reasonable waste management plan in Insular area to solve environmental issues in Insular area such as economical efficiency of recycling, limiting landfill disposal, coast pollution, underground water pollution, destruction of natural ecosystem.
