The major components of malodor at foodwaste treatment facility were analyzed out by the cryo concentrator-GC/MSD. And the major 43 malodorous components, i-valeraldehyde, propyl mercaptan and methyl mercaptan, etc., were detected from the process of foodwaste at the foodwaste treatment facility. The attribution ratio of i-valeraldehyde, propyl mercaptan and methyl mercaptan were about 72%, 11% and 7.5%, respectively during the process of the steaming and drying foodwaste . The removal ratio by the malodorous removal procedure were 95.5%, 93.4%, 86.9% and 50.3% to the methyl mercaptan, i-butyraldehyde, i-valeraldehyde, and propyl mercaptan which were the major malodorous components. And it was showed the attribution ratio of aldehydes, sulfur compounds were 88.74%, and 10.60%, respectively at the final outlet of the food waste treatment facility after the malodorous removal procedure. It was concluded that the major component of the malodor at the foodwaste treatment facility were i-valeraldehyde, propyl mercaptan, methyl mercaptan, i-butyraldehyde and were different from the major malodorous component at the sewage facility and the waste reclamation area, trimethylamine.
