In this study, we have investigated the thermal degradation process with different reaction time and temperature to recycle agricultural waste polyethylene film which causes environmental problem, The recycled wax was prepared by thermal degradation of agricultural waste polyethylene film between 350℃ and 390℃. The impurities, such as soil and solid state materials, were separated from recycled wax by high temperature centrifuge. The structure of recycled wax was investigated y FT-IR spectrometer and the structure of recycled wax was the same that of virgin PE wax. We obtained that the number of average molecular weight(Mn) and the viscosity of recycled wax were 500~4000 and 8~920cP(140℃), respectively. Also, the softening point of that are decreased with increasing the reaction time and temperature. The viscosity of recycled wax was decreased with increasing the content of virgin PE wax in the mixture of agricultural waste polyethylene film and virgin wax. The removal efficiency of the impurities from the mixture by high temperature centrifuge was over 95%.
