Metaphor is not only a figure of speech but also a cross-domain mapping in the conceptual system and a structure of action. In the field of creation, metaphor is a analogy of likeliness between two objects or concepts. In the field of figuration, it is a transference of meaning and a interaction between tenor and vehicle or frame and focus. In the field of interpretation, it is a identification between two concepts. Just as a crescent moon has the meaning of a sail boat of which it resembles, metaphor analogizes the universe based on the likeliness between objects and is a signification which is caused by transference of meaning. The analogy of likeliness occur in different way according to pum, mom, jit and cham. Metaphor hides as much as it reveals. It analogizes different objects as identical. Therefore, metaphor means a separation from original proper words. But in a historical discourse metaphors is not a static and abstract structure but a dynamic and concrete one. It works functions to change the nation's destiny. Metaphor identified by ruling class functions as a ideology. However, metaphor created by grass-roots functions as a counter-ideology. So, in historical discourse, metaphor has concreteness and works dynamic functions.
