Each city in the world is to make the coexisting city with people and city and to have focus on the policy of the city development which has a urban regeneration for the continuous city in the future. Specially, the most important motive force is the strategy of the urban regeneration based on culture. To implement the urban regeneration policy, the underground space is also considered as the important city spatial factors for conducting the ultimate object of the urban regeneration called the reconstitution and the reactivation of the city functions. But, the physical environmental study on the underground space for the urban regeneration based on culture is insufficient. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to elicit the environmental planning factors of the underground space for the urban regeneration based on culture by the examples of the cultural city and the cultural urban regeneration, the important evaluation and the analysis about the spatial planning factors of the underground space. The research was processed through the following steps; First, based on the selected literal researches, the year, the way, the location and the purpose of this research are used. Second, the spatial planning factors for the cultural city and the environmental planning factors of the underground space for the urban regeneration from the selected literal researches are used for the important evaluation. Third, based on the results of the important evaluation about the environmental planning factors of the underground space, factor analysis and average analysis on factors are conducted. Forth, based on the results of the important evaluation about the spatial planning for the cultural city and the environmental planning factors of the underground space, the correlation analysis is conducted. Finally, based on the results of the factor analysis, the environmental planning factors of the underground space are categorized and the spatial plannings from the literal researches are suggested.
