This study is to examine the process of the development of multimedia-assisted materials as an auxiliary textbook of ‘Yonsei Korean 5’ for advanced Korean learners with the general purpose. It will be reviewed how the development of these materials has proceeded, what the result of development is, and how helpful these materials are to learners as well as teachers. The multimedia-assisted materials of ‘Yonsei Korean 5’ are composed of image or graphics, sound, and video and are proved to be very useful at every part in instruction, helping teachers introduce the topic or Korean culture, motivating and encouraging learners to speak, and helping learners understand the meaning of vocabualrey, grammar, and some particular concepts.
