The research classifies PCI(Process Capability Index), PPI(Process Performance Index), Sigma Level and PPM(Parts per Million) in the perspective of the accuracy and precision for process.
The guidelines for usage are provided at the situations like as quality improvement activity and six sigma innovation movement.
The research is summarized into three categories as follows :
1) The precision of process dispersion is classified into three types such as within standard deviation, overall standard deviation, and total standard deviation.
2) The accuracy of process mean is distinguished by two types such as static and dynamic. The results of 1) and 2) are also applied to the , , , and control charts.
3) The guidelines of usage on the PCI, PPI, and sigma level according to the grouping of accuracy and precision are proposed with practical examples.
