본 연구는 청소년활동 참여청소년들을 대상으로 참여실태, 만족도 및 영역별 효과성을 분석하고 이를 기초로 청소년활동의 발전방안을 제시하는데 그 목적이 있다. 조사는 청소년활동프로그램 공모사업에 참여한 청소년들을 대상으로 실시하였다. 만족도 분석은 1,141명을 대상으로 그리고 효과성 분석은 이 중 625명을 대상으로 실시하였다. 조사기간은 2009년 3월부터 12월까지이며, 설문지 우편발송을 통해 청소년들의 자기기입식 설문조사를 수행하였다. 청소년활동의 참여실태를 살펴본 결과, 지금까지 청소년활동에 참여한 횟수는 ‘5회 이상’ 48.4%, ‘1회’' 25.8%, ‘2회’ 11.8%, ‘3회’ 8.9%, ‘4회’ 5.0%의 순으로 응답했다. 프로그램에 참여하기 전 약 76%의 청소년들은 공모사업에 대해 잘 알지 못하는 것으로 나타났지만, 대부분은 앞으로도 청소년활동프로그램 공모사업이 필요하다고 응답하였다(M=4.12). 그리고 청소년활동에 대한 만족도를 조사한 결과, ‘지도자 만족도’와 ‘프로그램의 적합성’이 평균 4.05로 가장 높게 나타났으며, ‘전반적 만족도’와 ‘프로그램 만족도’가 각각 평균 3.92, ‘물리적 환경 만족도’가 평균 3.89 순으로 모든 하위영역에서 높은 만족도를 보였다. 또한, 문화감성활동, 과학정보활동, 봉사·협력활동, 모험개척활동, 직업체험활동, 환경보존활동에 참여한 청소년들 모두 프로그램을 통해 긍정적 경험을 한 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 분석 결과를 기초로 청소년활동의 발전방안을 제시하였다.
This study aims at analyzing the participation situation, satisfaction and effectiveness of youth activities, and suggesting development plans for the vitalization of youth activities based on results from the analysis. The participation situation and satisfaction were surveyed with 1,141 adolescents, among which 625 adolescents were studied for the effectiveness. The term of survey were extended from March to December 2009, while surveys with questionnaires in a type of self-completion by adolescents were being carried out through the mail system with a questionnaire. As a result of the participation situation in youth activities, responses to rounds of participation in youth activities until the moment they took the questionnaire were given to 48.4% for ‘5 rounds or more’, 25.8% for ‘1 round’, 11.8% for ‘2 rounds’, 8.9% for ‘3 rounds’ and 5.0% for ‘4 rounds’, sequentially and respectively. In addition, about 76% appeared to have no good knowledge of youth activities before their participation in the program. Further, as a result of surveys on satisfaction for youth activities, ‘the leader satisfaction’ and ‘the program relevance’ showed the highest average of 4.05, sequentially followed by ‘the overall satisfaction' and the program satisfaction’ respectively at average 3.92, and by ‘the physical environment satisfaction’ at average 3.89, showing high degree of satisfaction in the entire sub-areas. All adolescents, who participated in the cultural and emotional activities, science and information activities, voluntary and cooperative activities, adventure and pioneer activities, job experience activities and environmental preservation activities, appeared to have the positive experience through programs for surveys on the effectiveness by area. Based on these analytical results, this study suggested development plans for youth activities.
