As the society becomes pluralistic and diverse, styles have changed personality oriented thriving for self-satisfaction, and as this happens, jewelries with unique designs have appeared. In the center of this is what is called the Fusion Phenomena which is one of the social cultural phenomenons. Fusion is a compromising cultural effect that takes place with the flowing of trend and era that eventually mixes. However, such fusion phenomenon is not something that appeared all of a sudden, but has changed and reflected the era since the beginning of history. This study identifies the concept of fusion phenomena and its background which is quite different from what it used to be in the past, analyzed the effect of fusion phenomena on design, art and social culture, and classified modern jewelry design into four fusion factors. Through the study of correlation such fusion phenomena has with modern jewelry design, insights of future trend were tried to be built as well as creating new design factors for modern jewelries, and at the same time, tried to establish a base for understanding fusion culture, thriving for a general culture that can co-exist with heterogeneous culture and a framework to grow international views.
