Most of drinking water sources have been depended on surface water such as river and lake water, which have been polluted by runoff from nonpoint source. Rural and urban stormwater carrieries significant quantities of debris and pollutants that include litter, oils, heavy metals, sediment, nutrients, organic matter, and microorganisms . This stomwater runoff from unpaved and paved rural and urban area has inflowed into water resource such as river and lake and polluted the water resource. In particular, turbidity is seen a key water pollutant in its own right, but it also often used as a surrogate variable for suspended solids concentration. For this reason, this study performed to evaluate the influence of intaking techniques the water with high level of turbidity due to several individual and sequenced storm events. As a results, despite high level of turbidity due to storm events, the intaking technique by bank-filter decreased significant turbidity. This resulted in the reduction of coagulant dose. Backwash frequency of sand filter after bank-filter intake increased more 10 days/cycle than before the adoption of bank-filter intaking technique.
