The purpose of this study is to investigate selective adsorption of CO2 from syngas of waste gasification by using commercialized NaX-type zeolite adsorbent under the ambient temperature and ambient pressure. The experiment of CO2 adsorption was carried out by using simulated syngas and waste gasification syngas. The CO2 adsorption capacity and separation efficiency of NaX-type adsorbent were investigated by analyzing syngas flow rate and gas composition at inlet and outlet of the adsorption reactor. The adsorbed CO2 were desorbed under two decompression conditions which 8 Torr and 0.5 Torr. Through the result to use simulated syngas, when vacuum degree of desorption was 8 Torr, 41.8 mg of CO2 was adsorbed per 1 g of commercial adsorbent. However, when vacuum degree of desorption was 0.5 Torr, 48.91 mg of CO2 was adsorbed per 1 g of commercial adsorbent. The high heating value of syngas which was separated with CO2 through the industrial waste gasification is 2540 kcal/Nm3, and the high heating value of syngas which was separated with CO2 through mixed waste gasification is higher than 2000 kcal/Nm3, it can be suitable for feed stocks of gas engine.
