This study was aimed both to enhance fluoride removal and to decrease water content of precipitated sludge using CaCl2 with the reuse of precipitated sludge. When the precipitated sludge was not reused, the removal efficiency of F and PO4-P was 80.3 and 31.8%, respectively, and water content of precipitated sludge was 56%, under the conditions of pH 6, the Ca/F molar ratio of 1.0 and the seed dosage of 1.5 g/L. However, when the precipitated sludge, which was dried at 18℃, was reused, it was observed that fluoride removal was increased about 3% and water content and PO4-P removal was decreased about 20%, respectively, irrespective of the addition of seed material. Furthermore, it was revealed in the analysis of SEM, EDS and XRD, the initial addition of seed material caused positive effect on forming CaF2.
