This paper is aiming at deriving the subjects to be improved in the production to induce the type of production and shipping with more profitability by analyzing the characteristic of input-output by shipping type for Jeju carrot.
As the result of analyzing input-output in accordance with carrot production based on the data surveying farm household, the carrot in Jeju area was proved to be produced by labor intensive production that was highly dependant on the employed by the result of the scattering seeds. Specially, as the farmers ,shipping vegetable yard who worried about bargaining power with collector, used more seeds, they inputted more working hour for seeding and weeding out, this phenomenon was analyzed to lead to cut profit greatly, Meanwhile, the reason why the working hour inputted for harvest at the time of shipping line was not led to add the value of products was estimated to be the reason to increase the shipping ratio of vegetable yard whose profitability was low.
Accordingly, to preserve Jeju carrot as a profitable crop, it looked urgently necessary to convert cultivation method to the automatic method by escaping from the present cultivation method which is heavily dependant on labor.
