The objectives of this paper are to estimate and to analyze the economic effects of the Jeju tangerine and tangerine-related industry on the Jeju regional economy employing the 2000 Jeju regional input-output model. For the purpose, first, this study explores the economic position of Jeju tangerine and interrelated industry based on 2000 Jeju regional input-output model. Secondly, the three type indices of production inducement effects, employment effects, and income effects are estimated and compared.Production inducement index, 1.75196, shows lower than the average 2.02453, but income inducement index, 0.84517, shows higher value compared to the average 0.47506. Also, employment inducement index, 0.09847, reveals higher value compared to the average 0.0431. This study demonstrates that the Jeju tangerine industry has a very large impact on the regional economy.
