The purpose of this study is to search the effect of the writing instruction with the assistant teacher (pre-service elementary school teacher) based on the students' level on the elementary students and the pre-service elementary school teachers. To achieve this, the reachers collected the survey data from 127 respondents who were in English departments of G national university of education.. After 16 weeks of data gathering, the researchers have analyzed these in various ways. The experiments were done 8 times after 4 lessons of each chapter. The objects of these experiments are 2 classes of 6 grade students. In the case of the experimental class, each teacher has given a lecture of advanced and makeup classes based on students' level to his or her students with the assistant teacher. In the other hand, the counter class has only given the same class without the assistant teacher. The degree of students' change and interest on that class has been studied through the before and after survey, and the analysis of the activity report. The writing ability has also been studied through the before and after writing evalustion. The effect of this class on the pe-service elementary school teachers has been analyzed through the contents of the interview with the assistant teacher, subject of discussion on the class, activity recore, and the record of the class. The conclusions on this thesis based on the research are as follows: First, students' writing ability has been developed after these classes were given. The average between these two groups has a meaningful difference. Second, the confidence of the students on the writing assignment has been improved after this class. Third, there is a positive recognition for the need of the class based on students' level and the assistant teacher. The result which analyzes the students' survey regards the need of the assistant teacher as reasonable one. Finally, the participation of pre-service elementary school teacher in the class helps them increase their expertise. The result of analysis of the activity report and the interview shows that the pre-service elementary school teacher's self-confidence and skills for teaching are increased.
