The purpose of this study is to examine and analyze the Old downtown Cultural Competitiveness through ‘ Walking Tourism’. The other objective of this study is finding out current status or economical (or the other)effect of ‘Walking Tourism’ in Korea(special case on ‘Choryang Ebagu-gil’(Busan city) and Chinatown(Incheon city), Lee, Jungsub-Street(Jeju, Seogwipo-city)), and compare with ‘City Walk’(or Walkable Urbanism) cases of foreign countries. And this paper discusses guide line or strategy of Urban Competitiveness by Walkable Urbanism as a ‘City Walk’ by ‘Walking Tourism’. Recently, a walking tourism is getting popular and a common activity of tourism. It also examines the present urban competitiveness, identifies the problems encountered in implementation, and suggests the solutions for strengthening urban competitiveness such as a walkable urbanism. Also this study suggested creation of walkable streets and walking tourism courses through the urban design for Urban Competitiveness by ‘City Walk’. It emphasized that well made or planned for city walk beyond developmentalism, including story and modern cultural historic buildings, are also crucial in making Urban Competitiveness more Attractive.
