The purpose of this study is examine condition and to propose improvement of road for walking-tour, convenient facilities and signboards, and cultural properties located in Andong Confucian Culture Road in Andong area, Gyeongbuk. For this purpose, field survey was carried out about the road consisted of three courses, 38.8km. The road was classified into six types according to condition, material, location, and surrounding environment; the road, mountaineering road, village road, the field path, riverside path, and bridge. Walkers have various feelings when road conditions are changed but it is possible for walkers to walk away from the course if road condition are changed excessively. Therefore, signboards and information signs are needed to installed proper places in number. However, many signboards were destroyed or removed, which is to be maintained them. In addition, before the walking, it is difficult for tourists to get information about the road because tourist information center is located in the center of total courses of Andong Confucian Culture Road. Finally, explanation of the cultural properties is lack and maintenance of them is worse because many cultural properties in the road are not designated.
