The summary of this study is as follows. In regard to presence/absence of a health care insurance course as a standalone one in place, all subject colleges (97.4%) except one had at least one course. For program duration, 28 out of 38 colleges (73.7%) were found to offer a 3 year program, while the rest (26.3%) a 4 year program. On the grade year containing the course, 24 colleges (63.2%) for theory and the same number of colleges (63.2%) had their courses in the third grade year, respectively. Numbers of class-hours for theory were different for each college, ranging from none to 4 hours per week. Most colleges (20) were found to offer 2 class-hours per week (20 for theory and 16 for practice). Overall, an average of 1.93 class-hours went to theory while an average of 2.62 hours going to practice. When it comes to number of credits assigned, the majority of colleges provided 2 credits per year for theory and also 2 credits per year for practice, with the averages for both theory and practice across the subject colleges being 2.21, respectively. The examination of the relationship between the grade year containing the course and the program duration revealed that in both theory and practice, the courses tended to be given in the last grade year in both 3 and 4 year degree programs.
