목적: 본 연구는 만성 편마비 뇌졸중 환자를 대상으로 신체인식척도의 검사-재검사 신뢰도를 알아보고, 신체인식 정도와 균형 및 보행능력의 상관관계를 알아보기 위함이었다. 방법: 본 연구는 만성 편마비 뇌졸중 환자 33명을 대상으로 실시하였다. 본 연구는 신체인식척도, TUG, MBI, BBS, 5TSTS 및 10MWT 등의 6개 임상평가도구를 측정하였다. 통계방법은 기술통계와 상관분석을 사용하였다. 결과: 본 연구대상자는 남자 19명 여자 14명으로 총 33명이었으며, 오른쪽 편마비 18명, 왼쪽 편마비 15명이었고, 뇌졸중 발병원인은 뇌경색 26명, 뇌출혈 7명이었다. 연구대상자의 평균연령은 67.2세, 뇌졸중 발병기간은 평균 23.0개월, 한국 판-간이정신상태검사는 평균 25.2점이었다. 또한 브론스트롬단계는 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6단계가 각각 5, 6, 4, 4, 7, 7명이었다. 본 연구는 참여대상자의 균형 및 보행능력을 검사하였는데, TUG검사는 평균 26.6초, 10MWT는 평균 23.7초, 5TSTS는 평균 20.6초, 버그균형척도는 평균 36.3점 그리고 MBI는 평균 59.9점 이었다. 신체인식척도 중 보고항목의 검사-재검사 신뢰도는 평균 0.998로 0.996에서 0.999까지 조사되었고, 관찰항목의 검자-재검사 신뢰도는 평균 0.984로 0.969에서 0.992까지 조사되었다. 또한 신체인식척도의 전체 검사-재검사 신뢰도는 0.986으로 0.972에서 0.993까지로 분석되었다. 신체인식척도는 MBI점수와 통계학적으로 유의한 음의 상관 관계를 보였는데, 신체인식척도의 점수가 높을수록 MBI의 점수가 낮은 것으로 조사되었다(p<.05). 그러나 일어나서걷 기검사, 10미터보행검사, 5회일어서고앉기검사, 버그균형척 도의 점수와는 유의한 상관성을 보이지 않았다. 일어나서걷 기검사는 10미터 보행검사, 5회일어서고앉기검사, 버그균형 검사와 유의한 상관성을 보였고, 10미터보행검사는 5회일어 서고앉기검사, 버그균형검사와 유의한 상관성을 보였으며, 5회일어서고앉기검사는 버그균형척도와 유의한 상관성을 보였다(p<.05). 결론: 본 연구결과를 바탕으로 만성 편마비 뇌졸중 환자를대상으로 신체인식정도를 파악하기 위하여 BAS는 신뢰할만한 임상평가도구이며, 만성 편마비 뇌졸중 환자의 신체인식 정도는 일상생활동작 수행에 직접적인 영향을 미친다고 제언 하는 바이다.
