The purpose of this study is to examine the characteristics of the trends of interior design through the contents and themes of Seoul Living Design Fair from 1994 to 2018. The method of research is analysis of contents based on the review of previous research related to trends and the articles of Living Design Fair. The results are as follows. First, the trends concept shown in the previous research are the high-tech designs and the modern trends in 1990's, the sustainable design considering the ecological environment in 2000's and the return to traditional & minimal trend in 2010's. Second, the trends of the Living Design Fair in five stages are the introduction period, the settlement period, the reflection period and the prosperity period, and now the new communication period. Finally, It is diversified into modern-natural in the introduction period, hybrid, natural, traditional and eco-zen in the settling period, and it has appeared evenly from the reflection period. In the prosperity period and communication period, the participation of the public is widening, and it can be seen that digilog-self design tendency to perform their own space is prominent. In the future, it is expected that living space design will show a variety of products that support a design that reflects their individual needs, and furniture and convertible tools that can easily bring about space changes like simple recipes.
