Recently, the new government's urban regeneration new deal system is actively promoting many old residential city revitalization projects nationwide. However, institutional facility standards for residential community facilities in low-rise old residential areas are insufficient. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to investigate and analyze the characteristics of the location for the existing facilities in order to make the community facilities newly developed in urban regeneration projects in low-rise old residential areas. In the analysis of these characteristics, we selected the Gamcheon Culture Village & Ibagu-gil residential area in Busan, as a relatively successful urban regeneration project. The site, direction, view, and topography of the community facilities were analyzed in terms of layout. In the access plan, we analyzed the walking access and car access of residents and visitors. The results of the analysis are as follows. First, as a layout feature, community facilities are distributed in a small scale in both areas, and the direction and view are equipped by making maximum use of inclined terrain. Second, there is a dual road system to separate the movement of outside visitors and the movement of internal residents. Third, the outside line of visitors is planned as far as possible, not in the center of the residential area. Lastly, it is also important to plan facilities that allow local residents and outside visitors to interact with each other, depending on the purpose of the community facility, and this facility needs to be located in the residential boundary area.
