This study has performed to identify the factors of lifestyle types of city workers which influenced to the purchase satisfaction of instant convenience food and the moderating effect of household types and purchase applications between the lifestyle types and purchase satisfaction to activate the setting of marketing strategy and operating of food=related companies. Based on previous studies, it suggested and verified a study model which the customer's lifestyle types played an independent variable to the dependent variable called purchase satisfaction through the moderating variable called household types and purchase applications. To verify this model, it collected materials from 477 males and females living in Seoul and Gyeonggi=do and performed multiple regression analysis. The major findings were as follows. First, ‘convenience-pursuing’ type was found to be positively related with purchase satisfaction, while ‘health-pursuing’, ‘taste-pursuing’ and ‘fashion-pursuing’ types were found to be negatively related with it. Second, household type doesn't have moderating effect between lifestyle types and purchase satisfaction because there is no statistical differences between the effects of single and multiple household. Third, in case of purchasing as a meal, ‘convenience-pursuing’ type was found to be positively related with purchase satisfaction, while in case of purchasing as a snack, ‘fashion-pursuing’ as well as ‘convenience-pursuing’ type was found to be positively related with purchase satisfaction. These results suggested that the difference of lifestyle type by purchase application have an influence on different purchase satisfaction.
