Domain walls provide natural source of magneto-static energy in magnetic crystals. In natural magnetic minerals, domain walls are relatively narrower than the neighboring domains to their lateral dimensions. Direction of magnetization changes like a wave from one polarity to the opposite polarity over short distances of 150 nm for magnetite. Bloch walls are commonly observed in the interior of a coarse-grained magnetic crystal.
