Youth housing near the station is a type of social housing supplied by the private sector and the public in cooperation to supply housing to people in their 20s and 30s near the station centered on public transportation. The goal of supplying youth housing near the station is to establish a “youth platform” where young people can find jobs and play in life by installing various community facilities to solve housing difficulties and support young people’s activities by providing high-quality affordable public and private rental housing in station areas with high housing demand. Therefore, it is necessary to find out whether youth housing near the station is provided and operated to meet the original purpose of community facilities. This study aims to study how community facilities of youth housing near the station are operated and which facilities are preferred. Four of the youth housing near the station of Seoul were selected and field trips, interview with residents and managers, and surveys were conducted. As a result, first, youth housing complexes near the station provide various community facilities, but there were complexes with severe variations, fewer activated complexes, and no fitness centers that appeared as the most preferred facility. Second, there were various facilities, but there were many cases of non-operation due to COVID-19. Third, there were many demands for start-ups, employment-linked facilities, and programs, and other demand-responsive facilities need to be diversified and expanded showing the degree of management varies by facility.
