Objective: In this study, the distribution of patients undergoing manual therapy for a certain period of time was investigated to improve the quality of manual therapy and complement the appropriate treatment form in the approach of cervical manual therapy. Method: This study was conducted for a total of 6 months from September 2019 to February 2020 for a single physical therapist for patients who visited a hospital located in Seo-gu, Incheon, where an orthopedic surgeon resides and conducts outpatient-oriented care. Statistical analysis was performed on the pain area of the subject using descriptive statistics based on the treatment area and pain complaint area of the patient who had undergone manual therapy. Results: During the survey period, a total of 137 patients visited one therapist, of which 43 were male and 94 were female, more than twice the rate.The age group of patients in the manual therapy is 17 in t heir t eens, 17 in t heir 2 0 s, 35 in t heir 3 0 s, 33 in t heir 4 0 s, 21 in their 50 s, 12 in their 60 s, and 1 in their 70 s, with a proportion of 30 s and 40 s The ratio was close to 50 %.The lesion and pain areas were 68 in the cervical area, 30 in the lumbar area, 18 in the shoulder area, 9 in the knee area, and 12 in other pain areas. Conclusion: In the future, it is expected that the role of manual therapy for the treatment and prevention of musculoskeletal disorders in the local community or hospital will increase, and the direction of scientific and professional manual therapy should be established through the application of more evidence-based and objective methods.
