Due to the unique location and historical reasons, Hebei dialects have special relations with Mandarin, Beijing dialect and Jin dialect. Many dialects in Hebei have significant transitional characteristics, which makes the study of Hebei dialect unique and necessary. The Qingxian dialect belongs to the Canghui dialect area of Ji-Lu Mandarin. For a long time, it has not been much concerned by dialect scientists, so the researches and descriptions on Qingxian dialect voice, vocabulary, and grammar seem to be very poor. In particular, the vocabulary of Qingxian dialect is scarcely discussed with systematic description. Based on authentic and reliable fieldwork, this paper makes a systematic and comprehensive description on Qingxian dialect vocabulary. By comparing Qingxian dialect with Mandarin, the paper stresses on dialect vocabulary characteristics and hopes to accumulate some information for the researches on Qingxian dialect vocabulary.
