목적 : 임신이 각막 두께에 미치는 영향에 관한 문헌들을 선별하여 연구의 특성을 파악하고 메타분석을 통해 효과 크기를 확인하였다. 방법 : 2001년 1월부터 2017년 12월까지 국내·외 데이터 베이스에서 검색어를 ‘임신’, ‘각막 두께’, ‘Pregnancy’, ‘Pregnant women’, ‘Pachymetry’, ‘Corneal thickness’하였으며, 연구 종류와 언어에 제한을 두지 않았다. 결과 : 총 7편의 문헌이 선정되었으며, 임신 전과 임신 중 각막 두께 변화에 대한 효과 크기는 1.013[95% CI: 0.743~1.282]이며, 각막 두께가 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 임신 중과 출산 후 각막 두께 변화에 대한 효과 크기는 -0.539[95% CI: -0.746~-0.332]이며, 각막 두께가 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 결론 : 임신으로 인해 각막 두께에 영향을 미칠 수 있으므로 임신 전, 후 각막 두께가 변화할 수 있으므로 콘택트렌즈 피팅 시 세심한 주의를 기울여야 할 것이다.
