Converting carbon dioxide (CO₂) into valuable chemicals is one way to retard the rapid increase of CO₂ level in atmosphere to slow down the global warming. Among them, our team has developed method of converting carbon dioxide (CO₂) into formate using MeFDH1. MeFDH1 can convert carbon dioxide (CO₂) into formate even though productivity of formate is particularly lower at low CO₂ concentration due to poor affinity to carbon dioxide (CO₂).
