Although biocompatible natural polymer hydrogel beads, such as starch, cellulose, chitosan, and alginic acid, are being actively researched to prepare a carrier for enzyme immobilization, those existing natural polymer hydrogels have low mechanical strength, and therefore there is a limit to the field of application.
