Persistent organic pollutants(POPs) are toxic chemicals that can be accumulated in the human body, especially in adipose tissue. POPs can induce metabolic diseases causing mitochondrial dysfunction. However, the impact of released POPs by decomposition of fat in adipose tissue are barely understood. To find out the effects of POPs from decomposed fat, zebrafish were exposed to POPs into four groups; control(C), obesity control(OC), obesity control with POPs(OP), and POPs exposure with obesity and caloric restriction(OPR).
