Near-infrared organic photodetectors (NIR OPDs) have attracted considerable attention as next-generation energy devices because of their low-cost fabrication, low-weight, and ease of fabrication using a solution process. In this study, organic bulk heterojunction (BHJ) photodetectors were fabricated and OPDs were fabricated by mixing a Near-infrared (NIR)-absorbing conjugated polymer Diketopyrrolopyrrole (DPP) electron donor and electron acceptor.
