Nafion of DuPont company, widely used as a proton exchange membrane, is a random copolymer of tetrafluoroethylene and perfluoro sulfonic acid. This polymer has has a high proton conductivity because its sulfonic acid group of PFSA by forming ion conducting cluster in aqueous media.
