New ionic polymers containing dicationic pyrrolidinium cations are synthesized and characterized. Methacrylate monomers of a C₄-bridged bis-pyrrolidinium pendant with different linear alkyl chain length are prepared as a polymerizable ionic liquid monomer, which can show soft crystalline phases.
