Poloxamer is a thermo-responsive triblock copolymer which consists of hydrophobic poly(propylene oxide) core block and hydrophilic poly(ethylene oxide) side blocks. The thermal responsive property came from its structure, in which the hydrophobic block dehydrates at elevated temperature, forming a core for spherical micelles.
