충청남도는 국내 58기의 석탄화력발전소 중 50% (29기)가 위치하며 대산석유화학단지나 현대제철과 같은 대기오염물질 배출 대형사업장이 운영되고 있어 대기질에 대한 도민들의 관심이 매우 높다. 충청남도에는 보건환경연구원에서 관리하는 총 35개소의 도시대기측정소가 있으며, 인구가 상대적으로 많은 아산시, 천안시 등에는 5~6개, 이외 시·군에는 1~3개소의 측정소가 운영되고 있으며, 석탄화력발전소가 위치한 당진(2개소), 보령(2개소), 태안(3개소), 서산(4개소)은 대기오염물질 배출 대형사업장이 밀집하여 대기오염물질 배출로 인한 대기오염물질 농도를 확인하기에는 한계가 있어, 충남에 위치한 발전 3사(한국동서발전(주), 한국중부발전(주), 한국서부발전(주))에서는 민간대기측정망을 구축하여 주변^_@span style=color:#999999 ^_# ... ^_@/span^_#^_@a href=javascript:; onclick=onClickReadNode('NODE10665114');fn_statistics('Z354','null','null'); style='color:#999999;font-size:14px;text-decoration:underline;' ^_#View All^_@/a^_#
