This study endeavours to find traces of what William Wordsworth experienced about his inner world, projected as a narrator in the Intimations Ode, which shows Wordsworth’s autobiographical experience. He dramatizes the way he projects himself through this poem, emphasizing the autobiographical experiences that underlie this poem. As a child, Wordsworth had trouble accepting the concept of death. In the Intimations Ode, he transforms himself into several versions. This poem depicts the process of self-projection through his psychological foundation and various dramatic expression techniques to reflect his inner experience. Through metaphors and rhetorical expressions that can be found in the process of “loss, despair and consolation” of the poet projected as a poetic speaker, it dramatizes the situation of self-transformation that the poet himself claims to have experienced as a result of what he realized. Sublime is used to show evidence that the speaker has found comfort. It can be seen that the narrator’s sense of loss is accompanied by consolation, and the peace of mind is evoked through the sublime.
