Laboratory mice maintained under specific pathogenic free (SPF) condition have several limitations including genetic and microbiota components compare to human. Wilding mouse (laboratory mice born to wild mice) recently developed to overcome these limitations. In order to create a new inbred strain from Korean wild mouse, wild mice captured in Chuncheon (South Korea) are maintained as sib (sister and brother) mating. The 13th generation of Korean wild mice (KWM/HYM) are maintained at Laboratory Animal Resource Center of Hallym University. The coefficient of inbreeding of these mice is 94%. The KWM/HYM mice have a 94% homology compared to PWK/PhJ strain derived near Prague, Czech Republic. The litter size of 2nd generation in KWM/HYM was 4.67, and that of 11th generation was 3.0 indicating that the litter size was gradually decrease due to inbreeding deterioration. Tail ra ... 전체 초록 보기
