With the growth of start-ups, entrepreneurial institutions "Business Accelerators" are spreading around the world with a lot of attention. This phenomenon has led to remarkable studies examining the effectiveness of accelerators. However, existing studies primarily focused on examining the effectiveness of the accelerator itself through the treatment effect. Additionally, participants were treated as a homogenous entity. To expand current entrepreneurial literature, we discuss and explore the effectiveness of accelerator program components depends on participant"s prior start-ups experience. Using 101 survey data from Korean start-ups founders, we found the significant moderating effect of accelerator networking between the founder"s prior start-up experience and start-up performance. In addition, we found that accelerator funding was positively related to the total amount of funds raised over the year after graduation. This study has implications for both accelerator practitioners and potential participants that practitioners should allocate appropriate components’ weight depends on participant’s capabilities and needs and potential participants should devise a strategy to earn maximum benefit from the accelerator program based on their capabilities and needs.
