Viral hemorrhagic septicemia virus (VHSV) is a single-stranded RNA virus belonging to the Novirhabdovirus genus of the Rhabdoviridae family, a pathogen that causes acute and large- scale infections to various aquaculture species and has significant damage to the industry. The olive flounder is a major fish species that accounting for 50% of farmed fish in Korea. Recently, the environment of fish farms has deteriorated and the incidence of diseases has increased and the mortality rate has also increased significantly.
