The orbicularis oculi muscle (OOc) is the only muscle to close palpebral fissure. The morphology of the OOc is important in treating the various approaches that require clinical eyelid surgeries such as entropion and blepharospasm and aesthetic facial treatment by injecting the toxin. However, the margins of the OOc would vary considerably for each individual, sex, and race. Therefore, the purpose of the present study was to identify the morphology and size of the OOc, and to investigate the relationship with the neighboring structures.
