Kenya’s economy suffers from a large number of planned and unplanned power outages in a typical month. This study delves into the impacts of these blackouts on the manufacturing firms in four major economic towns in Kenya; Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu, and Nakuru. Existing research on power blackouts and their impacts in Kenya, are based on many sectors and regions. This paper focuses specifically on the manufacturing sector and in four major cities in Kenya.
