Culture is a value of the present era, reflecting the politics and economy of a society and society as a whole. Therefore, Korean folk paintings are aesthetic values that reflect Korean national characteristics, and their values are being revalued in today"s society. This study aimed to derive motifs of themes and elements expressed in folk paintings containing Korean traditions and produce cultural products that apply modern applications and derived images. It is worth researching the meaning of traditional succession as a cultural product by utilizing traditional images in life. Combining the opinions of Seung-Jin Oh and Nan-Kyung Lee (1997), Dong-Kwan Yoo (2003), Taek-Min Kim (2007), and other researchers, the characteristics of folk paintings were summarized as multi-viewpoints, simplicity, flatness, repeatability, and color. Based on these five characteristics, three images applied flowers in the folk paintings were used to create cultural products. Based on the three images applied to the folk flowers above, the range of cultural products was divided into fashion and household goods, reflecting the current lifestyle. The fashion items are three sets of training clothes, three pieces of T-shirts, three pieces of hats, three pieces of household goods consisting of 3 eco-bags, three cushions, three mugs, and three coasters. The result of this study expects that Korean cultural products can be manufactured and commoditized as a product of value creation that represents Korea"s cultural identity and that it will be an opportunity for Korean cultural products to gain economic power in the global market.
