This study starts from a thought about a new renewable energy based on participatory strategy to solve the problem of acceptability, which is currently the most impediment, in a situation where the role of renewable energy to achieve zero carbon in the era of climate crisis is emphasized.
The purpose of this study is to implement a participatory design process with various actors through an art-technology convergence approach to renewable energy, and based on this, renewable energy design to contribute to the diffusion of renewable energy and solving environmental problems. It is to consider the direction. Therefore, this paper will look at issues related to the current state of renewable energy, complement the existing approach to renewable energy, and analyze the possibility of an art-technology convergence approach to solve the problem of acceptability, and the case of LAGI.
The research results and contents are as follows. First, by maximizing the use of the renewable energy technology manual, accurate information on environmental issues and renewable energy can be provided, and based on this, the technology literacy of various participants can be enhanced. Second, it is necessary to publicize renewable energy issues in more diverse dimensions through design competitions, and to present new design ideas through an art-technology convergence approach centering on experts such as artists and designers. Third, through the development of participatory education and community programs, it is possible to promote the supply of renewable energy and create a participatory culture that contributes to the environment. Fourth, through diversification of the structure and method of participation in the renewable energy business, various actors such as local governments, business operators, engineers, designers, and local residents must be closely linked, and based on this, it is necessary to actively seek the possibility of renewable energy as a catalyst for the local economy.
Based on these research results, I hope that research on renewable energy design to find new values in the environmental, aesthetic, social, and economic dimensions will be more active in the future, freeing from the limited access to renewable energy so far.
