Recently, due to an increase in life expectancy and a decrease in the birth rate, the elderly population is relatively increasing. In 2019, the number of elderly people aged 65 or older in Korea was 7,718,616, of which 761,364 people had dementia, accounting for about 10%1).
In the brains of patients with Alzheimer's disease (AD), academic results have been published that a systemic defect in copper metabolism is a specific symptom, and it is known that the copper pathway can be destroyed by disease.
